Caviar & Crystal 11 is the 11 mm premium PU foam underlay rated 2.7 TOG. The extra thickness lifts both comfort and resistance, putting it well above the combined limit for a heated floor.

Because Cloud 9 Caviar & Crystal 11 is already 2.7 TOG before any carpet is added, no carpet brings the pair back under the 2.5 TOG limit. Over underfloor heating, swap it for a low-TOG underlay instead.

TOG measures thermal resistance, so a low number means heat passes through easily. For a floor covering over underfloor heating that is what you want. A comfort underlay chosen for warmth underfoot does the opposite job and is the usual reason a heated floor underperforms after a carpet goes down.
